NIKI GREEN KATE HILDEBRANDT ROGER HOUSDEN ELLIE JANSEN
Niki Green began her  lm industry career in Victoria in 2008 as a Background Performer. She worked on a number of productions
and transitioned to becoming a Background Coordinator (wrangler) in 2012. Being a teacher for 10
years was helpful as both of these positions share many of the same skill sets needed to organize
and manage groups of people.
Niki most recently worked on the TV mini-series Gracepoint.
Kate Hildebrandt is an award- winning writer and communications professional with more than
20 years’ experience serving governments and businesses.
Her understanding of the online work search world is complimented by various projects she has led
in healthcare and employee wellness sectors. She is faculty – BA Professional Communications program, and of Communications and Culture at RRU; and Communications Of cer,
faculty of Human and Social Development at UVic.
Roger Housden grew up in the
cleft of a Cotswold valley on the edge of Bath, England. He founded The Open Gate, a conference and workshop center that introduced the work of Ram Dass, Thich Nnat Hanh, Jacob Needleman, James Hillman, Robert Bly and others into Europe. The author of 22 books, including the best-selling Ten Poems series, his work has been featured in The Oprah Magazine, The New York Times, and Los Angeles Times.
His workshops emphasize self- discovery and exploration.
Ellie Jansen holds a BA (Honours) in English from Simon Fraser University. She attained her CA designation while articling with
the Of ce of the Auditor General of British Columbia. She worked for the provincial government and has taught both accounting and  nance courses in RRU’s MBA program. Her broad experience in training various groups in how to interpret, apply and implement new concepts allows her to communicate complex ideas within an online learning environment.
Liza Ireland, PhD, is Associate Faculty and past Acting Head for the Environmental Education and Communication program
at Royal Roads, School of Environmental and Sustainability. Her research focuses on in uential conceptual metaphors and how these affect efforts to implement sustainability. As the Executive Director of Changing Climates Consulting Liza is working to redesign education to help
develop systemic thinking and a sustainable society. She has taught and presented internationally
in Scotland, Italy, Kazakstan,
S. Korea, Japan and Bhutan.
Damian John’s education and interests lie with other humans,
the wild, words, and wind.
He is a registered massage therapist, house-builder, forager, ceremonialist and educator. Steeped in the ways of wild tracking and nature-based and FN cultural practices, he understands the sacred relationship between death and life. Damien accompanies many  nal passages opening to
the angst, joy, pain, and beauty
of it all. He believes our death conversations are both critical and perilously overdue.
NANCY GRAY-HEMSTOCK CHRISTINE HOPKINS
Nancy Gray-Hemstock, MSW, brings years of hands-on experience leading and facilitating workshops and retreats. She is a social worker, hospice volunteer and Certi ed Sage-ing® Leader. Nancy delights in changing the paradigm from growing old to becoming a wise sage; and loves to help others  nd more depth in themselves. She facilitates from a place of mature personal experience, integrity and respect for others.
Christine Hopkins is a Registered Aromatherapist – Thalassotherapist (seaweeds) with over 15 years in an Integrated Practice, incorporating Essential Oil Therapy and Thalasso & Balneotherapy for preventative health care and total body and skin care. She has taught for many years in the  eld of Complementary Care, focusing on the phenomenal healing properties of essential oils in combination with extraordinary nutritional and therapeutic properties of our West Coast seaweeds.
