JASON FINNERTY SARAH FRIZELLE CHARLENE GEORGE JANE GOODALL
Jason Finnerty spent two decades in service industry management and now dedicates his time to his freelance profession. A graduate of RRU’s Professional Communication program, Jason brings his love of writing, marketing and advertising local businesses and freelancers helping them to discover the value and bene ts of local talent.
Sarah Frizelle, MA, RCC, weaves her experiences as educator, wilderness guide, meditation practitioner, and psychotherapist to offer nature-based programs that support personal, familial and cultural change. A lifelong learner and a celebrator of mystery, she believes in the transformative power of mindfulness practices and time in nature, reveling in the discoveries people make on both inner and outer journeys. She holds master’s degrees in education and psychology and is a counsellor in private practice.
Charlene George, kQwat’st’not, is an educator and textile artist from T’Sou-ke, a community that bridges the Coast Salish and Nuu-Cha- Nulth territories. As the designate responsible for bringing awareness of protocols between peoples, she acts as a bridge to understanding. As a child, Charlene was lucky to spend time with Grandparents steeping herself in the teachings of culture, history and stories.
Dr. Jane Goodall began her pioneering research with wild chimpanzees 55 years ago. Because of her and other dedicated researchers, these chimpanzees have been documented, photographed, and  lmed perhaps more than any other wild creature. The Jane Goodall Institute’s conservation efforts continue today. A renowned primatologist, conservationist and UN Messenger of Peace, she was made a Dame of the British Empire in 2004.

Betty and Ken Foote are retired and live in Barriere where life is good. The lake shores and woods are  lled with opportunities for wild crafting. They have a large workshop with wreathing machines and other crafting tools. Pussy willow and baby’s breath wreaths, moss chairs and frames and pine cone crafting are their summer activities. Their favorite season
is Christmas and they have more enjoyment than the participants at Continuing Studies’ annual Green Christmas workshop.
PATRICIA GALACZY KATHLEEN GILBERT EDWARD GOODFELLOW

Patricia Galaczy, BA, MIR, is a Leadership Educator with over 15 years’ experience combining mindfulness and leadership
in service of organizational transformation. As a dedicated mindfulness practitioner and instructor with advanced training in mindfulness-based stress reduction, and an organizational expert with a Master’s degree in Industrial Relations, Patricia unites the wisdom of mindfulness with the power of leadership. She is Director – The Art of Dialogue, Associate Faculty – The Justice Institute
of B.C.’s Centre for Leadership, and Associate Faculty – RRU.
Kathleen Gilbert is a Film Commissioner for The Greater Victoria Film Commission. She
has worked in the Film Industry
as a Location Manager and Unit Manager for the past 15 years
on over seventy  lm projects. Kathleen is an instructor of The BC Film Orientation and W.H.M.I.S. Course at Vancouver Island Film School, Malaspina University, Canadian College and North Island University.
Edward Goodfellow CA, CFA, CFP, CIM, is an Associate Faculty at Royal Roads University and
an Investment Advisor with PI Financial Corp in Victoria B.C. He has lectured in  nance for CPA Canada, for Camosun College and the University of Liverpool. Edward has worked as a Portfolio Manager with Philips Hager & North, and spent six years in public practice with KPMG.
