ORIANE LEE JOHNSTON DARRYL KARLEEN ELIN KELSEY PETER KEDGE
Oriane Lee Johnston has co-led Equine Guided Learning programs for RRU Continuing Studies, Camosun College, and Hollyhock Retreat Centre where she was program director for 16 years. She combines natural horsemanship and spiritual guidance in her
work as educator, consultant and mentor, and spends part of each year with Horses-in-Africa wilderness project in Zimbabwe.
Darryl Karleen, PMP, is a project manager and business analyst working at RRU for 14 years. He has managed a variety of successful small, medium and large IT projects and is always learning how to improve.
Elin Kelsey, PhD, is an award- winning author of several books for children and adults. Elin received rave reviews from the Economist, the Washington Post, Kirkus Review, and Brain Pickings. She writes for New Scientist, BBC Wildlife, Hakai Magazine, Green Teacher, and numerous online sites.
Elin founded the writing program at the Osher Life Long Learning Institute at California State University, Monterey Bay and
has been awarded several author- in-residence posts throughout North America.
Peter Kedge lived in Asia for 30 years, owned an engineering business in Hong Kong, and
later business interests in the
UK. Throughout this time, he
has been a student of Buddhist psychology and mindfulness, and has led classes and workshops on both topics. Peter has worked to integrate secular ethics, and the topics of “The 16 Guidelines”, into the businesses and numerous non- pro t projects he has directed and participated in around the world.
Gertie Jocksch, MDiv, DMin, Sister of Charity of Halifax. Her passion for mother Earth has developed into a keen interest in the work of Brian Swimme, Thomas Berry and ecofeminism. She is a coordinator and facilitator in Programs in Earth Literacies and was Director of
Field Education at Regis College, Campus Ministry and Director of Graduate Theology Programs at St. Mark’s College in Vancouver. Gertie holds a Master’s of Divinity and Doctor of Ministry from Regis College and U of T.
Tracy Kelly, MA (Education),
BA (English/Psychology) is an educator, facilitator, and lifelong doodler with over 15 years’ experience in adult and higher education, instructional design, faculty development, educational technology and working in and around universities to make universities work. She has a passion for helping and seeing others succeed, and believes most things turn out better when approached with energy, attention to detail, and a heaping dose of humour.
DOUG KERR SARAH KINSLEY
Doug Kerr, MAdEd, has developed and facilitated training programs for organizations in the public, private, and social-pro t sectors for over 35 years. Doug’s specialties include instructional skills,
group facilitation, negotiation skills, performance coaching, supervisory and management development, and appreciative inquiry. Doug continues to
explore innovative, appreciative approaches to individual, team, and organizational change.
Sarah Kinsley is the coordinator
of the Embodied Mind stream of the Applied Mindfulness Meditation program at the Factor-Inwentash Faculty of Social Work at UofT. Sarah serves as a therapist and facilitator at The Mindfulness Clinic, The Centre for Mindfulness Studies and Mindfulness Without Borders, utilizing her training in Mindfulness-based interventions (MBIs) including extensive training in Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Therapy (MBCT). Sarah is the author of Yoga Therapy: Ancient Therapy for Today’s Body, Mind and Spirit.
