Grammar: Parts of Speech

Grammar is the central component of language. The eight parts of speech (nouns, pronouns, verbs, adjectives, adverbs, prepositions, conjunctions, and interjections) form the building blocks of language. The sentence below illustrates all eight parts of speech:
