CARMEN REPPEL BRENDA ROBINSON MARY ROSTAD SUSANNA RUEBSAAT
Carmen Reppel, a former successful opera star in the leading opera houses of the world, has an incomparable grasp of vocal and bodily technique in communicating with an audience. Using her experience as both a performer and a teacher she introduces and expands upon the many aspects
of what should be parts of every speaker’s toolkit. Learn how to use these various tools and also how to combine them in a balanced and unforced way for
an optimal presentation.
Brenda Robinson has been working with organizations and governments for over 20 years to escalate levels of communication, personal effectiveness, humour, and relationship building and to grow organizational capacity from the inside out. She has a Master’s degree in Education from Simon Fraser University in Curriculum and Instruction and brings her vast experience as a keynote speaker, trainer, writer, and consultant to the forefront in her work with people on the path of lifelong learning.
Mary Rostad, owner and spiritual director of Mary’s Farm and Sanctuary, is a nature-based educator with Sooke School District who practices and teaches mindfulness in the classroom.
A lifelong horsewoman, she stewards the farm as a place where all beings thrive.
Susanna Ruebsaat, BFA, TEd, MA, BCATR, PhD, Jungian-oriented art therapist and educator, Susanna explores personal and collective myths living in Psyche. Art-making, fairy tales and self-story embody the different forms, voices and concerns of the conscious and unconscious in their ongoing dialogue with soul. Mythopoetic inquiry delves into what these voices are speaking about and how they inform us of the possibility of an alternate archetypal story taking place in the deepest part of our being, our humanity.
Lisa Ricci began instructing
at Wilfrid Laurier University in 2013. Prior to this, she earned her CPA/CA designation at Ernst & Young in Toronto, serving clients across a wide variety of sectors. In 2015 Lisa earned her Master’s of Environment and Business at University of Waterloo, with a focus on sustainability for small and medium-sized enterprises. KATY ROSE DANIELLA ROZE DAVID SEGAL
Katy Rose’s passion is to spread the joys of experiential and nature- based approaches to working with children, youth and families for the promotion of healing and growth. She completed a Master’s degree in Transpersonal Counselling Psychology, with a specialization in Wilderness Therapy, at Naropa University. This training creatively informed her work in the outdoors, and she has been developing innovative and accessible programming for families in
the Victoria area for the past seven years.
Daniella Roze, founder and lead instructor for Thriving Roots Wilderness School, brings a depth of experience through her time among indigenous people in West Africa. She lived completely off the grid for ve years, spending
a month subsisting on wild foods with only buckskin clothes and stone tools. She holds a diploma in counseling and has studied and taught at wilderness schools across North America, creating an environment for learning, community building,
and transformation.
David Segal has been facilitating nature-based counselling with children, youth and families for over 10 years. He is deeply passionate about the natural world and how human-nature relationships shape our collective and individual well- being. He completed a Master’s degree in Child and Youth Care
at the University of Victoria and is currently in private practice with Human-Nature Counselling in Victoria, BC.
