GLENN PATTERSON JULIET PENDRAY FIONA PRINCE JAY RASTOGI
Glenn Patterson, AOCA, MEd,
is an artist, drum-maker, singer, storyteller, educator and lmmaker. He believes that the drum as
your ‘centre’, your connection to the earth, and can become an empowering tool to self-awareness and realization. Glenn also facilitates cultural ceremonies
and a men’s warrior program.
Juliet Pendray has been acquiring and sharing knowledge about fungi and associated organisms for over 10 years. She studies a broad range of fungal topics and delivers mycological walks, talks, articles, organizing materials and theatre for Victoria and Lower Mainland organizations. Juliet participates in mycology research projects, such as a Manning Park fungal inventory and a lichen air pollution monitoring project for Environment Canada, and is a member of the South Vancouver Island Mycological Society and the Vancouver Mycological Society.
Fiona Prince has been delivering communications-related training to groups and individuals for over 15 years in both the public and private sector. She helps people increase their productivity by helping them to understand how miscommunication gets in the way of getting important things done. Fiona has a BFA in Theatre from the University of Victoria, an MA in Applied Communication from RRU, and a Keirsey Temperament Theory Certi cation from Synergy Leaders, LLC.
Jay Rastogi studied Natural Resources Management and Environmental Studies at the University of Guelph and mentored in sustainable forestry practices with renowned ecoforester Merv Wilkinson. Over the past 15 years Jay has shared these teachings and principles with thousands
of students through tours and workshops. The site manager at Swan Lake Christmas Hill Nature Sanctuary, he is fond of growing food, tapping maples and foraging for wild plants and mushrooms.
Bob Peart, MEd, has been an avid outdoors person ever since he was a kid. For 40 years he has worked and volunteered in numerous land use management, park protection and nature interpretation capacities
for government and the non-pro t sector. A constant passion for Bob is the movement to reconnect children to nature. In 2008 he was awarded the J.B. Harkin Medal
for his outstanding volunteer contributions to protecting nature. Currently, Bob is the Executive Director of Sierra Club BC.
Ann Perodeau believes that when we see ourselves only in relation
to our belongings or work, we diminish and distort our purpose and being. Seeing ourselves as a part of the greater living landscape, we come to awe, humility, and
an understanding of our place
as stewards, not owners or consumers. As a painter and lover of the environment, Ann does bothasanactofjoyandaway
to both lose and nd herself in the living landscape.
Shelley Quinte has practiced exclusively in labour and employment law for the last 18 years, extending to all aspects
of management-side labour and employment law, with an expertise in human rights, offering advice and representation for employers and management staff in all sectors, provincial and federal, union and non-union. Human resources professionals, management and executive teams have bene ted from Shelley’s workshops, consultations and management- speci c training.
Carolin Rekar Munro, PhD, is intellectual lead for leadership
and human resources, Faculty
of Management at RRU. She
has collaborated in the public
and private sectors on change management, organizational renewal, strategic planning, leadership development, succession planning, and more. Her published work includes bridging multi-generational differences; leadership models for transitioning teams to interdependence; and mentoring Generation Y.
