The Four Divine Abidings: Deepening Our Ways of Being in the World through Meditative Practice PEMS014
Habits of mind, such as envy, worry, and irritation, can impact how we experience
our lives. Through mindful attention we learn to recognize these mental states and consciously contribute to our own happiness and wellbeing. The Buddhist tradition of the “Divine Abidings” (friendliness, compassion, empathetic joy, and equanimity), can open
the heart to powerful ways of connecting with ourselves and others. Understanding how
to evoke and develop these qualities allows for deepening our aliveness and awakening our highest potential.

Mindfulness and Horses PEMS017
Slow down into “horse time”. Horses live in the present, moment by moment. In their company we experience the uidity of our own mind states, emotions, body sensations and energy. In their “ eld”
of consciousness we move into a natural presence and peace beyond our everyday cognitive awareness. Experience breathing and body meditations, quiet re ection with the herd, interactive, safe and comfortable time with the horses, and a deepened sense of your authentic, disarmed, self. Everyone is welcome.
