Academic Writing
& Critical Thinking
This course is designed to help learners continue to hone their writing, research and critical thinking skills. Develop a working understanding of the writing process, the rhetorical principles of voice and purpose that guide what and how one writes, and the basics of assessing research and academic argument.
All assignments will be formatted and cited using APA conventions. Receive on-going support for your writing assignments, including comments and guidance on revisions and drafts. Learn to work with team members to peer review assignments. Textbooks required – see website.

Accounting Preparatory
This six-week online course introduces basic accounting processes and principles, and acts as preparation for those applying to RRU’s programs without having completed a formal accounting course. The course is also excellent for those wanting to brush up on their general accounting skills. To satisfy part of the entrance requirement to one of the Business degree programs at RRU, you must receive a minimum of 50% in both the assignment and final quiz. Textbook required – see website.
