ED MCKENZIE MARGO MCLOUGHLIN PAUL MOHAPEL WENDY MORTON
Ed McKenzie, MA (Leadership and Training), focuses on
personal leadership, workplace engagement, team development, communication, coaching, and group facilitation. Through Learning by Heart Consulting,
Ed uses values-based leadership and the principles of dialogue to engage the hearts and minds of others. Ed appreciates the richness that exists in every individual and group. He is associate faculty at Royal Roads and The Banff Centre and is a certi ed facilitator in healthcare’s LEADS in a Caring Environment framework.
Margo McLoughlin is a well-known local writer, storyteller and teacher. A graduate of the Harvard Divinity School, Margo has been practicing in the Insight tradition of Theravada Buddhism since 1986. She is the author/editor of two anthologies, Seeds of Generosity: Storytelling in
the Classroom and The Giving Heart: Folktales for Exploring Generosity. Margo’s writing and teaching draw on her skill as a storyteller, weaving myth and metaphor to illuminate the art of living with compassion and wisdom. margostoryteller.net
Paul Mohapel, PhD (Psychology), frequently designs courses and lectures for psychology and business programs at various universities. He is associate faculty in RRU’s Leadership program, a certi ed facilitator and coach in emotional intelligence and Insights Personality Assessment. He
uses his expertise in psychology, neuroscience, and leadership to help leaders and organizations function more effectively.
Wendy Morton has published  ve books of poetry and a memoir. She is the founder of Canada’s Random Acts of Poetry and recipient of the Spirit Bear Award, the Golden Beret Award, the Colleen Thibaudeau Outstanding Contribution to Canadian Poetry from the League of Canadian Poets, and was made an honorary citizen of Victoria. She is sponsored by AbeBooks and was WestJet’s Poet of the Skies, and Chrysler’s Poet of the Road. She believes we are all poets at heart.
Neil McKinlay is a writer, meditation instructor, personal coach, and intuitive. A long time student of Dr. Reggie Ray, Neil draws from his training in the tradition of Chogyam Trungpa emphasizing the accessibility and relevance of meditation in the modern world, and also to deepen his ability to express on the page. The author of Learning to Swim: Re ections on Living, Neil’s teaching is immediate and personal, always af rming the inherent beauty
and wholeness of our lives in this moment.
Maya Merrick is the author of two novels, Sextant and The Hole Show, and is working on her third, The Quiet Machine. She has been editorial
and administrative assistant at Conundrum Press, contributing editor at Matrix magazine, manuscript evaluator with The Writers’ Union of Canada, instructor of creative writing at Concordia University’s Centre for Continuing Education, and workshop leader
for the Quebec Writers’ Federation. Maya continues to work closely with emerging writers as a freelance mentor and editor.
Andrew Moore is an architect
who specialises in Community Development. He has worked
with all levels of government, private sector clients and grass roots communities in the UK, South Africa and Canada. He has partnered for T’Sou-ke Nation planning and implementing a vision to become more autonomous and self-suf cient, bringing about a renaissance of traditional values and culture. He is a founding Director of the Canadian Senior Co-housing Society and a founding member of Harbourside, a local senior co-housing community. canadianseniorcohousing.com
Sue Muirhead, MA, DipC, RCC, is committed to sinking into the profound and meaningful aspects of our human existence – hence her longing to share her life lived knowledge and experience of death and home funerals. She is committed to providing others with awareness of options related to their own death and the death of loved ones. She believes in living fully and facing death with awareness and curiosity. Sue works as a Registered Clinical Counsellor in BC and helps facilitate courses internationally.
