BOB LIPTROT ABE LLOYD RITA LORD COLLEEN MCCORMICK
Bob Liptrot has been bee keeping for 46 years in the Fraser Valley and most recently, for the past 13 years, here in Sooke. Bob holds a Masters in Entomology from Simon Fraser University and is the owner of  rst meadry in Western Canada, Tugwell Creek Honey Farm and Meadry. tugwellcreekfarm.com
Abe Lloyd’s academic interest
is ethnoecology. He is studying estuarine root gardens of the
NW Coastal First Nations with
an emphasis on learning how traditional management affects the root productivity and palatability
of silverweed (Potentilla Paci ca). He holds a Master’s Degree in Ethnoecology from University of Victoria and works as the director of Salal, the Cascadian Food Institute. He a professor of natural history

Rita Lord, CA, started her career
at KPMG in Montreal, where she worked as an auditor. Rita’s work experience has exposed her to
both public sector and private sector companies. She has helped companies and non-pro ts work through mergers, divestitures,
key investment decisions and other  nancial analysis. She brings this expertise to her courses, along with her role as an associate faculty in the School of Business,
when facilitating for RRU.
Colleen McCormick is Director of Strategic Issues with the Ministry of Jobs, Tourism, and Skills Training and monthly blogger for Canadian Government Executive magazine. Previously she was Director, Innovative Partnerships, where she managed social innovation in the Ministry of Social Development. Colleen is a board member of Power of Hope, founder of Social Innovators Network Foundation, and organizer for TEDxMileZero. She has an MBA from RRU and
a Graduate Diploma in Social Innovation from U of Waterloo.
Frances Litman is a passionate artist, accredited Master photographer, photographic adjudicator and international speaker, community
connector, and the founder of creativelyunitedfortheplanet.org. For two decades, she has been a guest presenter and photography judge at prestigious photography events around the globe. Her photography has been widely published and is in a variety of private collections worldwide. Frances teaches photography privately, leads international photo tours, and her work is regularly accepted into adjudicated art shows. franceslitman.com
SARAH LOEWEN LAYTH MATTHEWS CATHY MCKENZIE
Sarah Loewen, MBA (Leadership, RRU), EBC (Coaching), is an educator, coach, and senior level academic administrator with over 20 years of experience. In addition to her extensive background teaching yoga, Pilates and  tness internationally, she has taught leadership, adult education and management at the College and University level. She is currently completing an Interdisciplinary PhD at UVic where she is examining how a combination of Evidence Based Coaching and physical activity affect leadership development.
Layth Matthews is the author
of The Four Noble Truths of Wealth:
a Buddhist view of economic life.
He is an authorized meditation instructor, economist, and  nancial professional, and served as Director of the Victoria Shambhala Centre. He lives in Victoria with his wife and three children.
Cathy McKenzie, MA in Leadership and Training, has
a diverse professional history as an emergency room RN, a Coroner and a manager of volunteers. In 2000 she co-founded Learning by Heart Consulting. As an educator, facilitator and coach she believes in creating an engaging space
for deep and transformative learning. Her public and private sector programs focus on personal leadership, communication, coaching, building dynamic teams and dialogue practices. Cathy is long-standing associate faculty
at RRU and The Banff Centre.
