Joelene heAthCote ellie JAnsen DArryl kArleen tAylor kenneDy
Joelene Heathcote is a master’s graduate of UBC’s Writing program. She has published widely and won international awards in poetry,  ction, and non- ction. She is the author of Inherit the Earth, winner of Rubicon Press’s chapbook award, and What’s Between Us Can’t Be Heard, was a  nalist for the Pat Lowther Award. She’s a recipient
of the Prism International prize for poetry and essay, as well as numerous other awards.
Ellie Jansen holds a BA (Honours) in English from Simon Fraser University, and attained her CA designation while articling with
the Of ce of the Auditor General
of British Columbia. She worked
for the provincial government and has taught accounting and  nance courses in RRU’s MBA program.
Her experience training various groups in how to interpret, apply, and implement new concepts allows her to communicate complex ideas within an online environment.
Darryl Karleen, PMP, is a project manager and business analyst working at RRU for 12 years. He has managed a variety of successful small, medium, and large IT projects and is always learning how to improve.
Taylor Kennedy’s work appears
in The Vancouver Sun, The Globe and Mail, National Geographic Magazine, National Geographic Traveler, National Geographic Viajes, WestWorld, Explore, and West. His corporate clients include The City of Victoria, Robert F. Kennedy Journalism Awards, and the Government of Prince Edward Island. His work has been exhibited in the Smithsonian Museum of Natural History and the National Geographic Society Headquarters.
Heide Hermary has a Diploma
in Horticulture and a master’s degree in Sustainable Agriculture. Heide is President of Gaia College and co-founder of the Society
for Organic Urban Land Care. In 2007 she published, Working With Nature – Shifting Paradigms and in recognition of her efforts that year she received the B.C. Landscape & Nursery Association’s Educator of the Year award.
Gertie Jocksch, MDiv, DMin, is a Sister of Charity of Halifax. A passion that has continued to evolve Gertie’s work has been her concern and
care for Mother Earth, including teaching in the area of Ecotheology and Ecofeminism and developing programs in Earth Literacies for the Living Language Foundation.

Doug Kerr has provided training programs for public, private,
and social-pro t organizations for over 35 years. His specialties include group facilitation, appreciative inquiry, instructional skills, supervisory, management, and executive development, commercial negotiation skills, and instructional program design.
