Mindfulness, the simple act
of being fully present, offers one of the most powerful tools for cultivating and sustaining a healthy mind.
In this introductory session, we will overview the mindfulness- based stress reduction (MBSR) program, explore the basics
of mindfulness practice, and introduce simple techniques proven to help reduce stress, regulate emotion, improve relationships, calm the body, and settle the overwhelmed mind. This is a precursor to the eight week MSBR program (page 47).

gas infrastructure. Jonathan Taggart and Phillip Vannini traveled across Canada to nd off-gridders, visiting about 100 homes and interviewing about 200 off-grid Canadians from
every province and territory. This lm shares their travels and chronicles the experiences, challenges, inventions, and aspirations of the off-grid
way of life.
