Jennifer Walinga, PhD. In her 25 years as an educator, researcher and consultant in the area of organizational behaviour and learning, Dr. Walinga has seen how successfully the tools she learned in the rowing shell transfer to daily life as she weaves colourful stories and videos throughout
her presentation and includes an interactive component that shows how physiological principles
are just as present at work as they are in sport.
Valerie Watt is a former critical care RN who runs a private counselling practice in Victoria, BC. She is
a certi ed family systems and cognitive behavioural therapist and a trained relationship coach. Valerie is a seasoned speaker, mentor, and master storyteller who specializes in working with individuals,

Francis Weller, MA, MFT, has been working with the emotional, creative, and spiritual life of
men and women for over thirty years. Francis is a community builder, author, teacher, and psychotherapist from Northern California, drawing from an extensive background in depth psychology, mythology, group work, and indigenous traditions. Dave Whittington, PhD, provides training, facilitation, and coaching services to organizations, teams, and individuals. He has a background in science, engineering, and education with an interest
in strategic leadership. He works primarily in the Greater Victoria area with the high technology and health sectors. A former lecturer
at the University of Glasgow, Dave joined RRU in 2000 as an associate faculty and has worked in the MBA and MA in Leadership programs, as well as Executive Education.
Margaret Walters , BA, is author of The Cosmic Pilgrim, a book on eco-spirituality. She works in Programs in Earth Literacies and for the Society of Saint Vincent de Paul. Margaret holds a Bachelor’s of Theology degree and her background is in teaching, pastoral and retreat work. An encounter with Brian Swimme’s work in
the 1990’s revolutionized her personal cosmology and she is an enthusiastic proponent of the new sacred story with a special interest in Teilhard de Chardin.
MARNI WEDIN DAVID WHYTE MAUREEN WILLIAMS
Marni Wedin, MA, provides digital and content strategy to clients nationally and internationally. Before consulting, Marni worked for 18 years in television, digital media, and print and media relations. She has written and produced over 1,500 episodes of lifestyle and documentary content, had a regular international column pro ling artists, and created a television department from the ground up. She has worked with brands such as BC Housing, eLearning Innovation, Rogers, CHUM, Telus, Citytv and CBC. She holds a Master’s in communication.
David Whyte is the author of seven books of poetry and three books of prose. His life as a poet has created a readership and listenership in three normally diverse areas: the literate world of readings that most poets inhabit, the psychological and theological worlds of philosophical enquiry, and the world of vocation, work, and organizational leadership. David’s poetry is spoken in the same breath as major contemporary

Maureen Williams, ND, has
been in private practice for 19
years. She writes about natural medicine research for Healthnotes Newswire and lectures extensively to both professional and public audiences on a wide range of health and natural medicine topics. Her passion for teaching has taken her into many classrooms where she has taught basic sciences, holistic nutrition, and herbal medicine courses. She currently practices
in James Bay.
