In Greek mythology, the goddess Mnemosyne (Memory) gave birth to the nine Muses who then grew
up to become the inspiration for and keepers of The Arts. These mythological offspring continue to archetypally
invite our deepest creative expression and through our relationship with them, help us remember who we and what we are meant to do as
we sing, dance, paint, sketch, write, recite, act, make and create. The Arts are essential for human maturation and meaning-making. It has been this way since the beginning of our history. It is only recently that so many have left off poetic pursuits in favour of a world that is more linear and mechanistic – at our own peril. Let this be the inspiration to make space in your life to live into your true inheritance as a uniquely, creative human being regardless of what you may think of as “art”.
