Identify approximately 300 plants over the course of three seasons. For each plant, you will explore the ecosystem of its origin; the conditions where it thrives or survives; how it adapts to our environment; and how to provide it optimal care. Big Leaf Maple Tapping
GLNA2968
This hands-on workshop shows you how to tap Canada’s West Coast maples and make syrup in your own backyard. Three maples can produce enough sap to make about four litres
of syrup per season. Learn to identify which trees to tap, how to tap them, and how to make your own syrup. This course is held at the Backlund/Banman farm, north of Ladysmith, and you’re responsible for your own transportation.
