The Nature Kindergarten Experience for Professional Development

This session illustrates the rsthand experiences of the program's educators in creating a 2-year forest school pilot, where Sangster Elementary students reconnect with nature by spending 2.5 hours every morning exploring natural forest trails at RRU where the children will experience a growing sense of wonder, improved health and tness, mental and emotional development, awareness
of the environment, and an appreciation and understanding of Aboriginal ways of knowing with Nature as co-teacher.
