LEANNE ALLEN LISA AZZANO MICHELLE BEAUCHAMP
Leanne Allen is a media entrepreneur who has created all genres of media from print to radio to television to online. She sold her print magazine to one of North America’s largest media corporations, has worked for CBC radio, and worked with KVOS TV and APTN. She is also a represented actor and public speaker. She currently owns CVVmagazine.com
Lisa Azzano, a professional  gurative sculptress, works mainly in white clay and porcelain to create her uniquely detailed sculptures. With 20 years’ experience in the  ne arts and the healing arts,
Lisa combines these two forms to create contemplative pieces which often centre on the female  gure. Her work is in private collections worldwide and was recently exhibited in NYC. She has traveled widely and continues to sculpt and to learn while sharing the joy of creating with others.
Michelle Beauchamp is intrigued by stories and the ways these shape our world. After completing her undergraduate degree at the University of Winnipeg in cultural geography and philosophy,
she earned her MA and PhD.
in interdisciplinary studies at UVic. Her research focusses on relationships between place, story, and self/selves. A  ction and creative non- ction writer, she is a sessional instructor in the School of Environmental Studies and the English Language Centre at UVic.
LORI AUSTEIN ROBERT BATEMAN DWAYNE BEAVER
Lori Austein is a lawyer, educator, coach, hypnotherapist and certi ed trainer/facilitator of the council process. She has 16 years
of experience bringing council to diverse settings such as schools, non-pro ts and mental health. She has facilitated Council 1, 2,
and 3 trainings in the United States and Canada. Lori has founded
and facilitated programs for youth, couples, and community groups. She believes in the healing that comes from listening and strives to live The Way of Council with
her family.
Robert Bateman has been an artist and naturalist since his early childhood. He is one Canada’s foremost artists depicting the particularity of the world of nature and expressing his passion for
the well-being of human and natural heritage. He is a lifelong environmental champion and true hero for the nature world. Sight Unseen, his latest book, represents the evolving exhibit on view at the Robert Bateman Centre at the inner harbour in Victoria.
Dwayne Beaver is a writer, director and producer working
in  lm, television and digital media. He won the Best Direction Gemini Award for his work in the documentary series Conviction Kitchen and multiple Leo
Awards for the OLN comedy series Road Hockey Rumble. He teaches in Capilano University’s Motion Picture Arts, School of Communication, and at UBC where he serves as the Rogers Multicultural Teaching Fellow and the 2013 Phil Lind Artist in Residence in the Theatre and Film Department.
