CONGRATULATIONS
As a university, our strength is evident where it matters most – in the quality and relevance of the educational experience our students receive during their studies at Royal Roads. Graduates, you have demonstrated a commitment to personal and professional discovery and to making a difference in your communities. For that we commend you and offer heartfelt congratulations. You have contributed to how we define our place in the post-secondary education sector and to the reputation we have earned.
This year is a special one at Royal Roads University, as we celebrate 75 years of learning and leadership – 55 years as a military college and institution and 20 years as a public applied research university. You are joining a community of more than 22,000 alumni across 60 countries who have participated in a Royal Roads education as military cadets or university students. As a tribute to our history and those who have been a part of it, we are sharing life-changing stories at lifechanging.royalroads.ca and invite you to tell us about your journey.
The Royal Roads community is proud to have helped you achieve your goals through an approach to education that is founded on turning knowledge into action. Of equal importance, we are proud of the work you will continue to do in your communities and organizations.
The community you started here will be a source of support throughout your life. We hope you will stay in touch with your cohort, faculty and the many staff at the university who helped you along the way. While the formal education may be over for now, the opportunities to learn, grow and connect do not end.

From its inception in 1995, Royal Roads University set out to change the way a university works by building something new from the ground up. We weren’t interested in refining the traditional university. It was time for something new, something specifically designed for mid-career professionals. We pioneered the blended learning model, combining the strengths of team-based, applied and experiential practices.
At Royal Roads, the connection between people, place and purpose has created a vibrant learning community where members support each other’s success in career and life.
