 PERSONAL ENRICHMENT
New Year’s Resolution Self. Jung called this our ‘shadow’: repressed energies that strangle our true natures until we reclaim that lost (and unexpressed) vitality rather than project it onto others. Experience practices that give glimpses into learning about shadow and begin the necessary befriending (reclaiming) process required for integration and wholeness.

Counselling as if the Earth Mattered: An Introduction to Ecotherapy
Explore the theory and practice of nature- based therapies as we specifically address strategies, ethics and other considerations in applying ecotherapies for social service providers and allied professionals.
This course begins with a short historical sketch of the field of applied ecopsychology (inspired by Macy, Hillman, Jung, Muir, Thoreau, Naess, etc.) plus an examination of existing ecotherapies, followed by a series of experiential activities that bring nature into the therapeutic process as

Meditations That
Heal the Heart
Both our being and the cosmos long to
heal; to be whole. According to Buddhism’s bodhicitta tradition, when we open the human heart this longing is expressed as transformative warmth – warmth capable
of bringing healing to ourselves, others
and this world. Using the Meditating with the Body practices of Reggie Ray, this workshop guides us into our unique physical incarnation and welcomes the heart’s potent tenderness into our lives. Same weekend as Meditations That Uncover Our Lives.

Meditations That
Settle the Mind
An unsettled mind – bouncing, restless, ever-active – is perhaps the most pervasive marker of this modern era. In cultivating a more intimate relationship with the body, we begin to counter this tendency. Developing our innate capacity to rest
in the body, we find our mind naturally settles, naturally opens to and welcomes all experience. Using the Meditating with the Body practices of Reggie Ray, this workshop guides us into connection with the body and with the well-being and ease that awaits there. Same weekend as Meditations That Welcome the Earth.

Meditations That
Uncover Our Lives
The life we yearn for – a life marked by clarity, sensitivity, and connection – awaits each of us. Beneath the distraction of ever- active minds, this life waits in the immediacy of the body. Through developing our capacity to rest in somatic experience, we discover that all we want and need is right here. Using the Meditating with the Body practices of Reggie Ray, this workshop guides us
into the body and allows us to uncover the richness that awaits. Same weekend as Meditations That Heal the Heart.

Meditations That
Welcome the Earth
The human journey is fundamentally embodied. It is in and through the body that our full humanity is revealed. In its deepest expression, this body is nothing other than the earth herself. Awakening to our lives thus requires opening to and receiving the earth’s presence. Using the Meditating
with the Body practices of Reggie Ray, this workshop guides us into our unique physical incarnation and welcomes the ‘Great Mother’ more fully into our spiritual practice and lives. Same weekend as Meditations That Settle the Mind.

Mindful Resilience
Change and stress are not going away. We can’t control this, but we can choose to have a different emotional response. In this interactive and experiential workshop, participants will gain valuable insight into how to strengthen their resilience using mindfulness practices. Resilience allows
us to make good decisions, stay focused and access our personal resources during turbulence. The good news is that it can be strengthened. Drawing on the work of brain and mindfulness experts, this workshop introduces mindfulness practices for increasing resilience.
