Graduate Certificate in Project Management 2013
I am responsible for roughly 20 business units: overseeing facilities maintenance, design
and construction, food services, supply chain and more. I wanted to expand my business acumen and earn professional accreditation
in project management as well as an MBA. When I learned that the Graduate Certificate in Project Management from Royal Roads University counted towards credits for their MBA program, it was an easy decision for me – I could kill two birds with one stone and it wouldn’t cost more to do it.
The program was taught by an instructor
with real-life PM credibility and experience. This was a draw for me as I have attended other institutions where the professors and instructors were pure academics with little hands-on experience. The cohort model mimics real teams, and challenges you to form, storm, and norm under real-time pressures and an expectation of results. I was able to balance work and school by completing school at work and work at home. If this is an option for you,
I highly recommend it.
I use the PM, change leadership and financial learnings regularly, and I feel much more confident in the processes and systems my teams and I choose to apply to our projects.
