 COACHING FOR LEADERSHIP
As organizations move through one
change to another, coaching is increasingly being recognized as critical support for change leadership and management. Individuals and teams directly implement changes, with the support of coaching leaders who advise on the best use of resources to meet both personal and organizational goals. A leader who coaches can be a catalyst to increased resilience, creativity and performance for individuals and organizations in the midst of the change cycle. This course is aimed at helping you effectively learn to use a coach approach
as a leader. You will explore your individual philosophy of leadership coaching and practice coaching skills with others. Coaching is a conversational skill; the course has a strong emphasis on application of knowledge. Your most powerful learning about coaching will happen through practice.

CREATING COACHING
CULTURES
Builds upon the student’s experience as a professional coach. Students will develop
a comprehensive understanding of the complexities related to integrating coaching as a cornerstone of organizational culture. Students will learn how to align coaching with strategic initiatives in order to maximize knowledge sharing, build capacity and increase organizational performance.
Using applied, practical methods, students will explore the challenges of implementing a coaching culture within an organizational context and identify opportunities to drive organizational change. Prerequisities: Students are expected to have completed prerequisite education in the field of coaching (e.g., the RRU Graduate Certificate in Executive Coaching or an acceptable alternative).

CULTIVATING CREATIVE CONFIDENCE &
COMPETENCE
Focuses on the individual’s role in workplace innovation. Explores key innovation skills such as problem solving, risk taking, communication and relationship-building skills, and how individuals develop the confidence and competence to use those skills to innovate within organizations.

DESIGN THINKING FOR SOCIAL INNOVATION
Design Thinking for Social Innovation is
a methodology that encourages creative thinking and innovation in trying to solve challenges. It is a collaborative, human- centered approach to solving some of the world’s most pressing problems. Design thinking incorporates constituent or consumer insights in rapid prototyping,
all aimed at getting beyond the assumptions that block effective solutions.

FOUNDATION OF CORPORATE SOCIAL INNOVATION
Introduces students to foundational theories, processes, practices and strategies of social innovation as well as corporate intrapreneurship. Through deep introspection, students will gain knowledge of change strategies that include deploying soft and hard power to advance innovative opportunities, while exploring how to influence without formal authority. Learners will get exposed to the creative strategies and activities of social and institutional entrepreneurs (intrapreneurs), activists, organizations and social movements.

GROUP & TEAM COACHING
Extends the fundamental principles and knowledge of coaching into the context
of coaching work teams. Emphasizes
the development of core knowledge,
skills and competencies related to team coaching, and distinguishes team coaching from other forms of help such as group coaching, facilitation and team building. The course culminates in the creation of an individualized model of team coaching, enabling students to more effectively
and competently coach work teams
in organizations. The course requires significant participation in both individual and team assignments, and includes a three- day on-campus residency. Pre-requisites: Eligible applicants will have completed prerequisite education in the field of coaching (e.g., the RRU Graduate Certificate in Executive Coaching or an acceptable alternative).

INNOVATION TOOLS &
PROCESSES
Focuses on innovation at a team level and will include an exploration of tools and processes used in group settings. Considers topics such as interdisciplinary diversity, principles of innovation, design thinking,
the use of artifacts, sketching, model making and prototyping, and group decision making and execution.

INTERCULTURAL COMPETENCE & GLOBAL COACHING
Navigates and integrates the cultural dimension in coaching relationships, balancing cultural worldviews, and creating a global mindset through improved global business knowledge. Coaches working,

will explore the applicability of cultural frameworks in coaching relationships. Students will examine their own response to
