Moodle: Editing
& Enhancing
In this online workshop, you will acquire
and practice the skills you need to be con dent when editing your online Moodle courses. Both novice and experienced instructors will explore the Moodle editing environment and practice creating basic elements for a course. Online facilitators will guide you through a series of exercises aimed at helping you develop engaging, enjoyable, and dynamic online learning experiences. Through hands-on experimentation, you will learn to add Moodle resources and activities to courses. This is the online version of Moodle Editing & Enhancing.

Teaching with Blackboard CollaborateTM
Almost any traditional classroom
activity can be adapted for use in Blackboard CollaborateTM, but this web- conferencing system enables so much more. This workshop consists of two 90-minute sessions. The  rst session will refresh your memory and answer questions about CollaborateTM tools and moderator controls, such as the whiteboard, chat box, poll, and how to upload PowerPoint®TM slides. In the second session, you will try out your own ideas as you lead a ten-minute CollaborateTM lesson with the opportunity for peer feedback.

Visual Facilitation Practices:
Level 1
A very hands-on, practical introduction
to the basic drawing and lettering skills
that support a variety of visual facilitation and note-taking practices (e.g., graphic recording, graphic facilitation, Sketchnotes). Participants will experiment with live, large- scale visual work on walls and smaller-scale work on  ip charts, letter-size paper, and notebooks or digital tablets. This fast-paced session will explore drawing your way toward integrating more visuals into your life and work. NO art or drawing background needed! (Note: This course used to be called Graphic Recording: Introduction)

Visual Facilitation Practice:
Level 2
Having a command of basic drawing, lettering, and layout for large-scale work on walls from Visual Facilitation Practices
– Level 1, this course focuses on applying these skills to a variety of visual facilitation opportunities. Participants will move through an active day of drawing and planning, working alone and with others,
on a variety of visual facilitation possibilities. Participants will plan and execute a few visual pieces based on their interests/needs. They are encouraged to use any real-life facilitation challenges! Pre-requisite: Visual Facilitation Practices – Level 1

Skills for Mediation –
BC Mediate
Mediate BC Society and RRU have collaborated to create a unique online course designed to teach experienced mediators how to conduct mediation online. The content is founded on and inspired by Mediate BC’s six-year Distance Mediation Project, which con rmed that distance mediation can increase access to justice safely, affordably, and effectively. The online learning environment at RRU offers an innovative, relevant and powerful learning experience designed to assist mediators in learning how to implement technology in con ict resolution.
