Experience the excitement of being on a live set by having the right knowledge and tools to succeed as an Extra. This comprehensive course will inform you about everything you need to know to work as an Extra in
the entertainment industry. As a  lm Extra, you will earn money, get the chance to see movie-making up close, and gain valuable work experience.

Motion Picture Industry Orientation
Find out about the players and behind-the- scene workings of the  lm industry in this union required introductory course. Learn who’s who on the set, develop your set etiquette, and the established protocols of set safety. Explore the various jobs in the business and the realities of working in the industry. You will leave with the tools needed to decide if  lm is for you, and if the answer is ‘yes’, with the con dence needed to feel comfortable on your  rst day on set.

Short Film Production
Learn to produce short subject  lms. You will write, produce, direct, photograph and edit your own  lm. Your one-on-one instructor (via online conferencing) will guide you detail by detail through the labyrinth of choices you will have to make during the production of your  lm. The end product will be a short  lm that can be used as a demo of your  lmmaking ability. There are eight 2-hour sessions to be completed.
